Making More Miracles Happen in 2016

Making More Miracles Happen in 2016The credit union movement’s signature charity, Credit Unions for Kids, is well into another successful year raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMNH). All donations help pay for research, training, equipment and uncompensated care at local hospitals among the 170 CMNH locations across North America. These hospitals see 10 million kids every year. And this summer, there are even more ways for credit union members to help out, by donating their spare change when they visit your branch, and by patronizing select retailers in their communities who also support CMNH.

CU4K Coin Drive

Midway through 2016, the Change a Child’s Life coin-collection campaign underwritten by CO-OP already has generated about 1,800 credit union orders for coin canisters, and may surpass 2,000 orders by the end of the year. The countertop canisters, purchased by CO-OP so credit unions can get them for FREE, invite members to “Put Your Money Where the Miracles Are” to support CMNH. Order yours, along with campaign information and tips right here. You may also apply for CO-OP Miracle MatchSM if you plan an event to generate donations, such as a 3-month campaign.

Ace Hardware Bucket Day

On Saturday, July 23, participating Ace Hardware retailers will host a Bucket Day, at which customers receive a 5-gallon blue bucket with CMNH logo in exchange for a $5 donation. They will also receive 20 percent off all merchandise that fits in the bucket!

Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day

On Thursday, July 28, Dairy Queen customers will help make miracles happen, too. Every BLIZZARD® Treat purchased will generate a donation of $1 or more to a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in the area.

Together, we really can make a difference.

CO-OP encourages all credit unions to support CMNH through the Change a Child’s Life coin-collection campaign, and by sharing the news about other opportunities to contribute by patronizing local businesses.
