To help both credit union staff and their members keep pace with the rapidly changing financial technology landscape, CO-OP Financial Services has developed more than 40 videos communicating new payment forms and their benefits.
The goal of the video series is to increase member use of the innovative payment technology available to them through their credit union.
The videos emphasize visual storytelling, using graphics and illustrations; and a crisp narrative –averaging about one minute in length each. Videos been prepared specifically for credit union staff, to help them understand how financial technology can fit into their overall service strategy. The member-focused videos serve to educate consumers directly on new products and services that will improve their banking experience.
The videos span all six of CO-OP’s business lines, including ATM/Branch, Card Payments, Digital Delivery, Engagement, Member Center and Security Innovations.
For credit union staff, videos offer use cases on new technology, and benefits to the institution and the member. One video focuses on CardNav by CO-OP, which enables members to better manage and control their credit and debit cards using a smartphone app.
For members, the videos take an easy-going approach to financial technology, explaining the new offering in a real-world scenario including a problem and solution centered on a main character. Examples include videos on CO-OP ATM, with 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide, including 9,000 deposit-taking; and CO-OP Shared Branch, the third-largest financial services branch network in the country, with more than 5,400 “live-teller” branches.
